We newly reported about Diamond Multimedia who had added a new videocard in their line of cards. The card was based on ATI’s X1800-chip and according to the specifications, it should have been available in both AGP and PCI-Express. Now however Diamond has drawn back the info and stated that it all was a writing error, and that they don’t have any plans whatsoever on launching an AGP-version of their X1800-based videocard. A harsh reality for those AGP-owners who would have upgraded a last time before changing to PCI-Express. If some other manufacturer is about to produce any X1800 AGP-version, is yet to be seen.
