All-In-Wonder X1800XL is the first AIW-card from ATI based on their new X1800-architecture. Those who buy a ATI All-In-Wonder series card typically look for multimedial features, but many also wants nice 3D-graphics in addition to be abled to play the latest games as well. A effective way to improve the 3D-performance would be buying an additional card and use ATI’s Crossfire-technology and connect the videocards to eachother. Unfortunately, ATI has now announced that their AIW-cards will not work in Crossfire-configurations as long as a Master-card is required. This means that All-In-Wonder X1800XL will not function in Crossfire.
X1600 and X1300 will though be launched in Crossfire-solutions which will not require any Master-card and that would mean that these cards will work properly in Crossfire as long as the AIW-card will send the signal to the monitor.
