ATI RD580 and R580 – hand in hand

ATI has two new products coming which carries the numbers 580, the chipset RD580 and the graphic circuit R580. Now it seems that the products actually has a lot in common and except for similar names they will be launched at the same time, earliest at the start of Januariy, 2006. They will also be indirectly dependant of eachother to reach optimal success, RD580 will be ATI’s first dual x16 PCI Express motherboard which will be the best possible seating for the R580 graphic circuit to set new performance record. Especially in Crossfire configurations where two x16 capable PCIe slots offers optimal bandwidth for both graphic cards.
