Google of course has its well known name to power them when advertising for new, clever employees, but its no coincidence that Google often hires the most gifted and talented workers, San Francisco Chronicle has found out why. It has namely published an article about what Google offers its new employees, and there is a lot to gain from picking Google. The fact that Google hires nine new workers each day says a lot about how fast things are going, and at the same time shows how interested people are in working for Google. The amount of money it makes is of course an important factor, but there is more.

“To lure workers, Google offers perks, including free cafeteria meals, free use of laundry machines, a child care center, a free annual one-night ski trip (resort destinations vary depending on office location), dog-friendly offices and an on-site doctor. Engineers can devote 20 percent of their time to projects of their choice. What’s not mentioned is that much of the largesse is designed to keep workers at their desks longer.”
