Anandtech tries out the “new” CrossFire

CrossFire is finally getting some momentum up. ATI’s “new” platform with the new X1000-generation doesn’t suffer from the shameful max resolution of 1600*1200 as the X8x0 either. That the platform is still in need of some development is clear, but on the other hand, SLI had some problems too. But today as a normal consumer sees it all, SLI is a much more mature platform in comparison. The big plus ATI has at the moment is clearly the performance available already today, even though it has a few problems. If Anandtech’s results witness of what’s cooking, ATI’s future is set to be bright, especially with some updated drivers.
