Catalyst 5.13 adds value to the X1000 family

Catalyst 5.13 is the last driver update by ATI during 2005 and considering the few days that is left this is hardly a surprise. We have already reported about Catalyst 5.13 which more or less is completely dedicated to promote people into investing in ATI’s new X1000 family. The new drives namely introduce Crossfire support for all three graphic card series, X1300, X1600 and X1800. Except for this ATI’s driver engineers has started to use the X1000 family’s AVIVO technology seriously for the first time adding support for hardware accelerated playback of H.264, which tends for a good time for those who are interested in the high resolution format.
