iPod designer is awarded the CBE award

Jonathan Ive is the name of Apple’s senior vice president of design and that Ive should be honored for his work is hardly something many object to. Now Ive has received a real honorable title from none other than Queen Elizabeth II. The title awarded is “Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire” which is a sign of gratitude for the progress in industrial design Ive and his team has made not just with the iPod but also iMac, iBook and Powerbook. Jonathan Ive has been working at Apple for soon to be 13 years and the title he has been awarded is the third from the top in Great Britain, only one notch from being able to call himself Sir. Many of Ive’s designs are on permanent displays in museums worldwide.
