Cornice is a private company that manufactures harddrives and it has now announced that it will display, what they call is the smallest harddrives on the market, at Consumer Electronic Show. Cornice has updated its Dragon series with two new models at 8GB and 10GB. The new models doesn’t just have more capacity but is in fact also smaller than the earlier models. Cornice says it has managed to shrink the drives with 40% which makes it possible to integrate these drives into really small portable units which needs high storage capacity. Flash based storage is otherwise to prefer for really small units, but Cornice’s harddrives are considerably cheaper per GB, which is a great advantage to many. With the new slim design there are even more reasons to use harddrives instead of flash memory. Source: News.com
