SLI is without a doubt the leading technology for systems with dual graphic cards today and even if NVIDIA’s competitor ATI has been starting to get Crossfire capable platforms available they haven’t got the same width as NVIDIA has. Something NVIDIA is more or less infamous for though is having relatively expensive chipsets when it comes to the best performing versions. But for those who wants to test the SLI technology and at the same don’t want to pay a minor fortune for a motherboard as those money probably is needed for the two graphic cards, there are alternatives. At Anandtech they’ve tested three different SLI motherboards that actually doesn’t cost a minor fortune, and perhaps the price doesn’t always reflect the performance.
