Sapphire X1600Pro HDMI is a graphic card which is clearly based on ATI’s Radeon X1600Pro circuit, however there is a lot that separates this card from other X1600Pro based cards on the market. First of all the card has HDMI output, the format that will replace the digital DVI. HDMI can, different from DVI, also transfer sound signals and Sapphire has used this fact by integrating a small sound circuit on the graphic card which means that the card not only can supply a TV with HDMI input with video but also audio! Everything in the same cable from the graphic card. We can only speculate how well this solution will sound, but Sapphire has managed to create a quite unique graphic card, which we expect to see several sequels to as it is a very interesting concept for HTPC systems.
