Google has as most of you know something to do with pretty much anything on the software market and there’s many people waiting for them to launch their own operative system, in order to go after software-giant Microsoft. Earlier this week reports regarding this matter dropped in as The Register received intelligence telling them that Google worked with Ubuntu desktop Linux in order to create their own Linux-distribution, named Goobuntu. Now Google themselves has released some official information telling us that they in fact work with Ubuntu desktop Linux internally in the company, but they aren’t telling with what. Their co-operation with Ubuntu is not meant to become something that ends up as commercial software, it’s only to be used internally in the company.
They also decline that Goobuntu is the name of the project. Exactly what plans Google have is impossible to tell, but the rumours are sure to keep spreading.
