iTunes Music Store – countdown to a billion

iTunes Music Store is without competition the largest online music store of today and now it is almost at a new milestone. It will soon reach 1 billion downloaded songs from iTunes, a quite impressive figure. For this milestone it has added a countdown site to keep track of how many songs that was downloaded via iTunes and the consumer that downloads every 100 000nd song wins a black 4GB iPod Nano, among others. The person who downloads the milestone song, 1 billion, wins a lot more than that. One 20″ iMac, 10 60GB iPod and a gift card for $10 000 at iTunes Music Store. Except for this Apple will start a college fund in his/hers name at a renowned music school. Apple is going for a big 1 billion party apparently and the competitors are surely wondering how they should tackle this.
