AMD will call its new processor series for the Socket AM2 platform Revision F and is expected to arrive on June 6. A couple of months later than first expected as AMD was hoping to introduce Rev. F already during Q1 of 2006. Alas AMD had to postpone the launch and the reason was the integrated DDR2 memory controller. It contained a bug that crippled the performance far beyond acceptable levels and forced AMD to fix this. It has now come up with a solution and we will most likely see the results of this on June 6.
