OCZ has now announced that it will display the next generation DDR2-SDRAM at CeBIT next month. We know that DDR2-800 (800MHz) will become, more or less, the standard this summer/fall as both AMD and Intel will launch platforms sporting DDR2-800. However that is far from as far as DDR2 can go, something OCZ will make very clear at CeBIT. It will reveal its new PC2-8000 Gold XTC DDR2 series (PC8000 = DDR2-1000) that has been designed to work at speeds over 1GHz. Which shows that already today it is ready to supply consumers with DDR2-1000 memory. PC2-8000 Gold XTC DDR2 will be specified at 1000MHz with 5-6-6-15 latencies. Source: OCZ
