Shuttle XPC X100 might be the beginning of something new for the company that lately has become a synonym to SFF systems. These mini-computers are excellent for a lot of things as you can actually squeeze a lot of performance and storage into them these despite the size. However not everyone like the square shape of Shuttle’s XPC series and it seems Shuttle has realized this while there is a growing interest for the Media Center market. It is namely about to develop a new SFF model that will rely on Intel’s new 65nm dual core processor, Intel Core Duo. XPC X1000 has about the same width and depth as an A4 sheet while the height is only 5.4cm. Shuttle XPC X100 is suppose to be used as a Media Center system and with a 120W fanless power supply it should work pretty fine. Shuttle is expected to reveal the new system at CeBIT next month and we are looking forward to hearing about its new XPC model. Source: RegHardware
