Shamino is together with our own 3DMark guru Kinc two of the most skillful overlockers we have today and we could yesterday report about Kinc’s early overclocking tests with NVIDIA’s new GeForce 7900 GTX video card. Kinc started with some serious air cooling to get warm, but Shamino chose to go for the heavy stuff right away. With what seems like a compressor cascade Shamino has managed to bring his 7900 GTX down to -92°C and reach a very impressive frequency at 1000MHz. He has used DFI’s new Venus motherboard and an Athlon 64 FX-60 at 3.56GHz. This resulted in a very impressive single card score at 8786 3DMarks with 3DMark06.

He has done this by using only one 7900 GTX card, but then he has also mananged to reach 1000MHz/990MHz. Both Kinc and Shamino has started the hunt for new 3DMark records and since that they recently both met in Silicon Valley when visiting NVIDIA we should be able to expect some nice fights between the two talented overclockers. I can assure you we will keep you updated!
