Quad SLI in a SFF system – well almost

Quad SLI has become a real attention grabber for NVIDIA since it was launched early last month. We knew that Quad SLI would then only be available with OEM computers and that most systems would be rather beafy to make room for the cards sporting four graphics circuits, but also a power supply at 800-900W, except from the regular high-end components that should be paired up with NVIDIA’s graphics system. However, now it seems that the computer builder Falcon NW has decided to be more than just another manufacturer launching Quad SLI in a miditower or fulltower. It has namely decided to develop a SFF system where they’ve managed to really squeeze in a Quad SLI system. Alas, not a SFF “a la Shuttle”, but still a very impressive solution.

It’s the manufacturer’s “FragBox” system that now will be made available with Quad SLI and those who wants this kit inside a computer has to add another $1853 extra, the base price includes a GeForce 7600 GT. A SilverStone power supply at 600W will apparently be enough to power this “small” monster system. The measurements are 270x200x370mm (width, height, depth) which should be enough, even though it will be tight.
