The Japanese manufacturer Logitec, not to be mistaken for Logitech, recently announced four new Blu-ray burners where one of them support Mac OS X. It has first of all introduced two internal burners for PCs through its LBD-A2 series that will sport both single and dual-layer BD-media at 2x speeds. The burners also brings DVD-RAM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and CD-R/RW burning. It’s the manufacturer’s external unit that through its Firewire and USB2.0 connections support both Windows and Mac OS X, the latter through Roxio Toast 7 Titanium. Logitec LBD-A2FU2/WM will be the first Blu-ray burner that has official support for Mac OS X as far as we know. Those who are feeling eager to invest in this player Logitec will launch it in July, alas we don’t know whether it will find its way outside of Japan.
