MSI is still the only company which has revealed any detailed information about its coming Socket AM2 motherboards and now it has even announced that its new K9 family is actually already available. I.e. about two weeks before Socket AM2’s launch date and after some research it turn out that all six K9 models in MSI’s assortment are listed at retailers in Scandinavia. Ranging from the budget models based on the nForce 550 chipset to the flagship MSI K9N Diamond based on the nForce 590 SLI chipset. It also has an ATI-based Socket AM2 motherboard coming; MSI K9A Platinum (RD580), which we couldn’t find though. We haven’t been able to find any stores in North America carrying the boards.

None of the stores had the cards in stock though, Komplett has a  couple that will arrive on May 13, I.e. the end of this week.

MSI seems to be very eager to get its Socket AM2 boards out and the fact that there will be no Socket AM2 processors available until May 23 doesn’t seem to bother it at all. Below is a list of MSI’s motherboards.
