Foxconn 975X7AA: Fox One for the enthusiast

Small preview image

Foxconn 975X7AA: Fox One is actually marketed as a board intended for enthusiasts and overclockers and the reason we react is simply that Foxconn is one of the biggest OEM manufacturers on the market. It has for long been manufacturing motherboards under its own brand but then for more regular consumers and not the high-end users. 975X7AA: Fox One is, as you may have guessed, for Socket 775 and use DDR2 up to 800MHz. Except from a rather sturdy list of features Foxconn has gone for overclocking functionality and Fox One is is simply the company’s software for overclocking in Windows.

Foxconn has something really interesting coming here, but it seems there is still some work left to do until it can match up to the other enthusiast boards on the market. At Bit-tech they’ve tested the board and are overall positive, but also show that there are things left to improve.
