Xbox 360 has been around for six months now and it will be about another six months before Sony and Nintendo will release their next generation video game consoles. What would perhaps speak in Microsoft’s favor would be a possible price cut from the then well established video game console. However, that does not seem to be the case as it recently announced that it has no plans to lower any prices. It’s the European Xbox boss Chris Lewis that says that they have simply grown more secure in its pricing. Probably strengthened by Sony’s guidelines for PlayStation 3, which was revealed earlier this month at E3.
Microsoft is aiming for shipping 10 million Xbox 360 consoles before Sony and Nintendo start shipping their respective consoles, and apparently they expect to be able to do so without lowering any prices.
