Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3 is according to Corsair the first DDR2-800 memory kit, which will be launched with really low latencies at CL3. TWIN2X2048-6400C3 is specified to work at 800MHz with 3-4-3-9 latencies, which is really impressive at such high frequencies. The new memory modules at 1GB each use the new EPP concept and makes it possible to take play around with loads of extra settings while in Windows when using a EPP compatible motherboard. AMD says it has been working with Corsair during the development of the DDR2 memory controller with its new Socket AM2 processors and that they take advantage of these more aggressive latencies in the best possible manner.

“Using an extensive RAM screening process developed by Corsair, the new TWIN2X2048-6400C3 offers superior performance and rock solid stability at 800MHz at CL3. Optimized for the latest generation of processors and memory controllers, TWIN2X2048-6400C3 is a flexible memory solution that delivers outstanding performance at both low latency and high frequency. Designed with the ultra-enthusiasts in mind, the TWIN2X2048-6400C3 offers ample overclocking headroom, making it the ideal solution for anyone looking to build the most powerful DDR2 based systems.”

We haven’t received any pricing information for Corsair’s latest DDR2 memory, but the TWIN2X2048-6400C3 memory kit will be available today already from Corsair’s retailers, but so far we have failed to locate them.
