ATI Catalyst 6.5 available for download

ATI recently published its fifth Catalyst drivers for this year, Catalyst 6.5, which brings some news since the last update. Among other things, it has updated the alternatives for Overlay Theater Mode with a new mode called Standard Dual Mode which is supported by the Radeon X1x00 series. Standard Dual Mode makes it possible for the user to play back videos with hardware acceleraion on two monitors in a clone mode. It has expanded the support for Adaptive Anti-Aliasing so that all cards from Radeon 9500 and up support the technology. Last but not least, it has optimized the use of the bandwidth of the PCI Express interface, which should result in better performance with UT2004 and Splinter Cell for those using X1300/X1600 Crossfire setups.
