ATI RS600 chipset gets HDMI output

0

ATI RS600 is the next integrated chipset by ATI that will use a new graphics circuit to replace the current R410 chipset. Exactly what graphics circuit that ATI is going for is uncertain but it will be a newer such which also sports the HDMI interface directly on the motherboard. HDMI has finally started to get some attention from the graphics card manufacturers and ATI seems to be the leading actor here. Several HDMI capable graphics cards based on ATI’s graphics circuits are on the way while we are still waiting for the first retail cards from NVIDIA to sport HDMI. If ATI is able to squeeze in a capable graphics circuit into its RS600 chipset it would become a very potent solution for an HTPC with its HDMI support.
