It seems more and more PC companies are looking at Apple’s products after the transition to Intel’s processor platform, trying to complete them, and one of them is Microsoft which is planning to launch its first Desktop-kit for Mac. Whether the last year’s events mean that Mac is becoming more of a PC or that the PC is becoming a Mac, is perhaps best left unsaid. But anyhow, it’s not everyday that we see software giant Microsoft launch hardware directly intended for Apple’s Mac platform. It has now namely launched Wireless Laser Desktop for Mac, which simply is a wireless mouse/keyboard kit which has been optimized for Mac OS X.
Both mouse and keyboard have the same design as Microsoft’s latest PC-based Desktop-kit and the only difference seems to some Mac-specific buttons on the keyboard and a specially designed software for Mac OS X. But still a nice contribution to a market that seems to be growing.
