The patent struggle between Apple and Creative seems to be getting worse and worse by the day. It all started with Creative suing Apple for violating Creative’s Zen Patent when it developed the navigation system for its iPod series of MP3 players. Creative was hoping to get recognition and repairs for the economical damage Apple’s actions has caused them but what it got was a countersuit. Apple namely sued Creative just a few hours later based on four patents which Creative had supposedly violated. Now Apple has once again raised the bar by sending in another suit against Creative.
This time it’s about how Creative has violated patents about how mobile data is displayed and edited with a stationary PC. The question is if Creative has just awoken the beast or if it actually has something backing up the initial lawsuit. Anyhow, it seems that Apple will not give up without a fight.
