OCZ recently launched two new DDR2-800 memory kits and pushes for that these are memories with aggressive latencies, thus optimized for AMD’s Socket AM2 platform. Of the two kits launched there is one which is extra interesting, namely OCZ PC2-6400 Titanium Alpha Edition, the first memory in OCZ’s new Titanium Alpha series. This memory series will contain the best performing DDR2 memory modules on the market whle at the same time use a special color on the module’s heatspreader which change its appearance depending on light and angle. Most extreme enthusiast will care more about the memory’s specifications than the color though.
OCZ PC2-6400 Titanium Alpha Edition is available as 1GB modules and as kits of 2GB. They are specified at 800MHz and uses quite agressive latencies, namely 3-4-3-9. There is no price for OCZ’s new Titanium Alpha series as of today, but the specifications are looking quite promising and the esthetics they bring might attract some consumers considering the chameleon colors.
