Asustek is one of the biggest component manufacturers on the market and except from its own assortment it also sells a lot of products to other companies that then sells them as their own. We have earlier reported about its manufacturing of Apple’s MacBook computers and now another great company has secured products from ASUS, namely Dell. Earlier information suggested that Asustek had secured manufacturing orders from Dell with a 17″ laptop for 2007, but now there will also be a 14″ on the list at Asustek. Also this model will be produced in 2007 and the computers will be shipped during the second quarter of next year.
According to information from International Data Corporation (IDC) Asustek increased its shipping of laptops with 92% during the first quarter of 2006. Which makes Asustek the ninth biggest noteboook manufacturer in the world. This has been achieved in only a year, as it was back in August of 2005 we could report about the company’s new products.
