Some time ago we reported about a project over at Phoronix where they’d started up a blog and how they for 50 days would test the combination of ATI and Linux. Now the 50 days have passed and during the last day they’ve summarized their experiences of this combination and there is a lot of interesting things to read about. Among other things we see that ATI has succeeded in taking its drivers to a whole new level of functionality. Then we also have the problems with the performance and that there is still a lot of features missing that are available with the Windows drivers making the overall impression a mixed feeling. All in all they say the experiment have been a success as everything but the gaming performance has been working close to perfect.
