Shuttle XPC X100 is the smallest SFF system Shuttle has launched so far and with measurements up to par, if not even smaller than Mac mini it is a quite interesting creation. XPC X100 is based on the MoTD concept, Mobile on DeskTop, which simply means that there are components usually found in a laptop inside the desktop computer with minimalistic measurements. AOpen is a manufacturer that is going out strong with this concept and Shuttle seems to have no intention of being left behind. At SFF Tech they’ve taken a closer look at XPC X100 which with its minimal dimensions still use a 3.5″ harddrive which opens up some new possibilities for consumers.
“Unlike the limited upgradeability of the Apple Mac mini and AOpen mini PC, Shuttle’s new notebook-based small form factor system attempts to pack the goodies and upgrade capabilities of a gaming notebook into a slim rectangular box.”
