Sony PSP has been losing some momentum lately and this is mainly because of the successful launch of DS Lite by the rival Nintendo. Now rumors are going around that Sony is considering a counter attack by introducing a price cut. Something that would attract christmas shoppers that feel that Sony’s stationary PlayStation 3 console is too expensive. Analysts at American Technology Research means that we should be able to espect a price cut of up to 25%, or more price 50 USD. This would mean that a PSP would cost 149 USD instead of the current 199 USD. Considerably closer to the price of DS Lite at 129 USD.
The price cut is expected to happen in due good time before the christmas shopping so those on the verge on acquiring a Sony PSP it might be a good idea to wait a little.
