NVIDIA has been at it again and this time it has presented some refreshments in the form of new Geforce 7900 graphics cards. In the performance segment it will introduce a card named 7950GT that can be considered something in between today’s 7900GTX and 7900GT. From the 7900GTX the card has inherited 512MB of memory and from the 7900GT a single-slot cooler. The frequencies, which most certainly will vary between manufacturers, will land at about 550/700MHz (1400DDR) core/memory. This card should arrive in September costing below $300. Further it will also launch a 7900GS that has earlier only been available with OEM systems. Because of fewer pixel pipelines, only 20 where the other 7900 cards have 24, this card will be the slowest in the series.
