Fujitsu has now launched one of the first 2.5″ harddrives using perpendicular magnetic recording to increase the storage density. The new series is called MHW2 BH and is intended for the mobile market thanks to its 2.5″ form factor. It will aso launch two new models in October where the flagship, 160GB MHW2160BH, is the densest 2.5″ 5400RPM harddrive on ther market. It will also launch a 80GB model called MHW2080BH at the same time. Fujitsu has also decided to equip its new HDD series with the market’s most powerful shock protection and best energy efficiency.
