Edgy Eft Knot 2 is the bit odd code-name for Ubuntu 6.10. The Ubuntu Project has a tendency of naming its alpha and beta versions at such names (Breezy Badger, Hoary Hedgehog, etc.) and evidently makes no exception for 6.10. This is just an alpha though and the version that has now been released is the second official one. Edgy Eft Knot 2 contains some very pleasant news such as Gnome 2.16 beta 2, Firefox 2.0b1 and the 2.6.17 kernel, but Ubuntu doesn’t recommend anyone to use this version for anything else than testing, but those who wants to do just that should head over to Ubuntu’s website.
