Athlon 64 X2 5200+ is the latest beast in AMD’s X2-series, the new CPU was launched almost secretly and is already on the market. The specifications are the following; 2.6GHz at each core, 2x1MB of L2 cache and as expected, this CPU’s made for AMD’s new Socket AM2 platform. Several Swedish stores has already listed the CPU from AMD and pricing is, according to The Inq, $403 each. If you buy them in quantities of 1,000 that is. This does however seem like a fairly low price considering the fact that it’s the new AMD X2 flagship. It certainly has happened alot to AMD’s pricing on the CPU side since Intel released it’s Conroe, Core 2 Duo. But as a consumer, can we complain?
