Nintendo has together with IBM now reported that the first processor for the coming video game console Wii was shipped to Nintendo already in July. The processor also known as Broadway will not be as many times as faster as its predecessor as PS3 and Xbox 360 is able to brag about, but instead they’ve been able to lower power consumption with 20% compared to the previous chip and at the same time increase the performance in a “generous” way. Large quantities of the new chip has already been shipped and everything is going according to plan, which should mean that there will be 6 million consoles up until the end of March, which should be enough, but who knows.
