MSI seems to have some really interesting graphics card coming and at MadBoxPC they’ve published pictures of three new models from MSI which is just waiting to go live. The hottest card is without a doubt the card based on ATI’s first 80nm graphics circuit, RV570, better known as Radeon X1950 Pro. The card that has know been caught on camera has a cooler similar to the one found on X1950 XTX but considerably slimmer as it only occupies a single slot. According to MadBoxPC, MSI Radeon X1950 Pro will use 12 pipelines and 36 pixel shader units.
The graphics core will be clocked to 580MHz and the graphics memory will run at 700MHz (1400MHz). HDCP support is in the core but it is up to the manufacturers to use it or not. We don’t know for sure what MSI has chosen to do but we assume full HDCP support. More nice news about RV570 is that it brings integrated support for Crossfire, so each card can act as Master or Slave, no more Master cards needed. Just as with NVIDIA’s cards ATI has equipped the new cards with internal connectors for Crossfire, abridge will be shipped with all new graphics cards. The price is expected to be beneath that of X1900 XT 256MB which should mean about $200.
Madboxpc has also managed to come across pictures of MSI’s coming Radeon X1650 XT and GeForce 7950GT, where the latter is cooled completely passive. More information and pictures can be found at MadBoxPC.com.
