During the fourth quarter Intel is expected to broaden its focus on dual-core processors by launching two new budget models of its Celeron family; Celeron M 520 and Celeron M 530 are the names of the two new models which both are based on Intel’s Core architecture. They both boost dual processor cores and 64-bit support, which gives Intel a whole new weapon against AMD’s budget processor AMD Sempron which also offer 64-bit support. Intel’s new processors will use Socket M together with the 943GL chipset and the frequancies will be 1.6GHz, and 1.73GHz respectively, with a processor bus at 533MHz and a L2 cache at 1MB. The price of a Celeron M 520 is expected to be $134 while a price for M 530 wasn’t available at the time.
