ASUS Xonar D2 appeared out of nowhere at Computex earlier this month. No one was really expecting ASUS to present a whole new sound card, especially designed in-house, but then again it’s hard to be surprised these days, especially as ASUS is expanding in so many areas. VR-Zone has been covering the ASUS Xonar D2 quite extensively over the past few weeks and has now compiled an article, something of a preview of the new sound card. They compare it to the “standard” of today, the Creative X-Fi and it seems that ASUS wasn’t just blowing smoke when it claimed to have something great coming. The Xonar actually seems to pack quite a punch and specifications that outperform the X-Fi.
