ABIT KN9 SLI is one of the many new Socket AM2 motherboards which will appear on the market soon and even if this board doesn’t use NVIDIA’s best chipset but nForce 570 SLI it looks like a very promising board. W’ve had the chance to check out the board during DreamHack and abit said we could try it out if we wanted to, but alas we were not allowed to make any modifications to the board and considering crotale and Kinc’s background we had to decline. But we did borrow the board for a short while to snap some nice pictures.
ABIT KN9 SLI uses the nForce 570 SLI chipset and offers a sturdy amount of features and for a board costing only $150 it should become an interesting alternative for those who want to try out AMD’s new Socket AM2 platform. Just as many other manufacturers abit knows how we feel about noisy chipset fans and has thus chosen to use its Silent OTES system which is completely passive, seen on the pictures below.
