ABIT is one of the best known motherboard manufacturers among computer enthusiasts and a brand we here at NH have reported a lot about during all these years. The last year things have been pretty rough for ABIT, which have been tormented by finansial problems and similar. Now it seems though that it has taken a big step in the right direction towards regaining balanced figures. ABIT has namely merged with global company USI (Universal Scientific Industrial Co. Ltd). USI is a leading actor on the DMS market (Design and Manufacturing Services) and has partners on some of the really large electronics markets. The cooperation it will begin with ABIT will make it possible for USI to get a foot in on the motherboard market while ABIT gets a strong partner for making and developing products. “By partnering with USI, ABIT is able to enjoy several key advantages. USI has been manufacturing a wide range of IT-related products with an OEM portfolio that contains Global PC, Communication and Automotive Electronics clients. Their manufacturing prowess is well suited towards ABIT’s pursuit of engineering excellence, and will ensure that ABIT motherboards will maintain the strict level of quality that ABIT users have been accustomed to over the years.” Any more specific details about ABIT and USI’s joined venture hasn’t arrived yet but we hope to find out more soon. In the end we hope that this will be step in the right direction for ABIT which after all are one of the best known brands on the market. Source: ABIT
