Arctic has launched a new model of the Xtreme series of graphics card coolers. Accelero Xtreme Plus is a massive cooler with copper heatpipes and gigantic aluminum heatsink capable of cooling NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce GTX 480.
The graphics card cooler is capable of handling loads up to 250 watt through a design sporting five copper heatpipes and 84 aluminum fins. Three 92mm fans have the final job of keeping temperatures at the right level.
Arctic Xtreme Plus comes with preapplied Arctic MX-4 cooling paste while there are separate mounting kits and extra heatsinks for a long row of graphics card models from AMD and NVIDIA. A solution we consider a good thing, since earlier solutions have been compatible only with a few models and made it difficult to upgade.
Arctic Cooling promises both lower temperatures and less noise than AMD’s and NVIDIA’s reference coolers. The price is 60€ without the accessories, which we don’t know the price of yet.
