Even if Kingston recently presented its 256GB USB memory DataTraveler 300 it almost scared us. Active Media has now released a memory that is almost as terrifying. The Polar Bear USB memory is nothing less than a memory in the shape of a polar bear. It can house up to 16GB of data, making it far from the hottest alternative around. But if you’re not impressed by the rear end of the USB port sticking out from the computer you can at least be glad that 5% of the price goes directly to the WWF.

Active Media already has a Penguin and a Panda USB memory. The new Polar bear model is an actual 40:1 scale of the real animal and measures about 6.5cm, small enough to fit in your pocket.

“The WWF Polar Bear drive is an awesome drive. We strived to make every detail physically consistent with a real polar bear. It’s more than just a square USB drive, it’s a storage device that computer users will love to own and enjoy using, and every purchase benefits WWF.”

The new Polar Bear USB memory is available at Amazon, Tiger Direct and other online stores. Prices are between $10 (1GB) up to $45 (16GB).
