Futuremark has now announced that it has gained a new member of its development program and the new member is none less than AGIEA. AGEIA is mainly known for its physics accelerator PhysX and that it has now teamed up with the leading developers of performance benchmarks speaks for itself really. But then again it is still a bit early to make any big conclusions from this but at the same time we’ve earlier received indications for that it will include more avanced tests for physics effects acceleration with future 3DMark versions. Whether this means that you will need a PhysX card to win the Swedish Performance Championship or not remains to be seen.
