Albatron AGP6800GS har has one of the most renowned names we’ve seen on a graphic card, it is simply an AGP card based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 6800 GS circuit. This is a highly enticipated card as many AGP users still wants to upgrade their systems without having to invest in a new motherboard, and perhaps in the worst case scenario processor as well. Albatron is the first manufacturer to launch an AGP version of the 6800 GS icrcuit and there is actually more than just the interface separating it from its PCI Express sibling. Both cards have 12 pipelines but the graphic card is clocked at “only” 350MHz with the AGP version, compared to 425MHz with the PCIe version. Other than that the cards seems to be identical with a memory frequency at 1GHz. It is going to be interesting to see what overclocking potential there is with the AGP version of 6800 GS when the cards starts showing up in stores, which we hope will be soon. Source: Albatron
