Alienware is known for building and selling some of the best performing PCs on the market, but also some of the most expensive. A great advantage for a company like Alienware is that it doesn’t have to sit and wait for new technology to become cheaper to attract customers, it can start working with the latest hardware from day one as the customers are already aware of the price of an Alienware system. At Bit-Tech they’ve taken a closer look at one of the latest systems from Alienware, which certainly hasn’t held back.

Alienware 7500 P2 comes with an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor and two GeForce 8800 GTX graphics cards in SLI. As if that wasn’t enough Alienware has also thrown in a Blu-ray burner which we assume costs a little more than $1,000 on its own. They ran some regular benchmarks but also tested the Blu-ray support which actually seems to work well, unlike some other systems. But then the system costs far more than $6,000, but if you want the latest hardware you have to spend some.
