Alienware updates notebooks with Solid State Drives

0

Alienware has now decided to add a couple of solid state drives to its assortment. The many obvious advantages of the solid state drives seems to outweigh the high price as more and more are deciding to offer SSDs as an option to the regular drives. Alienware offers the new drives as options for its high-end laptops, such as the Area-51 m9750, m9700, and the mid-range m5550. The two high-end laptops can even be had with two SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. Or you can have one SSD and a regular mechanical drive. Alienware offers mechanical drives up to 250GB (7200RPM) and solid state drives at both 32GB and 64GB. It doesn’t say who supplies the solid state drives, but we’re guessing SanDisk or Samsung.
