In a recent interview with cnet, Alienware Product Marketing Manager Marc Diana opened his heart and shared his and Alienware’s views on the current gaming system situation. He expresses his concern for the lack of support for the 64-bit operating systems from both ATI, Intel, NVIDIA and the rest, and says that he’d rather see stable drivers and games optimized for 64-bit rather than faster components. He also explains why Alienware hasn’t adopted DDR3 with more than two systems, and the reason is simply economical. Although, he believes that DDR3 will replace DDR2 as the standard within the near future, but right now it still makes sense to use DDR2.
