Amazon has announced that it will open up its online, totally DRM-free, music store to the international market this year. The reason is simple. Amazon has received tons of letters from customers wanting to buy and download the DRM-free MP3s, but unable becuase they live outside of the USA. Amazon offers 3.3 million songs from 270,000 artists from all four major record labels and more than 33,000 independent labels. Single songs cost $0.89 to $0.99, and albums cost $5.99 to $9.99. All singles on the top 100 chart costs $0.89 no matter what, while top 100 albums cost $8.99 at most. The specific launch dates for each country was not disclosed.
