AMD will officially release its new chipset, the 890GX, on the 1th of March. But a couple of motherboard models featuring the new chipset can already be found listed on different web shops. For instance the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB can be found at Frys.com with a price tag of $164.99 and the GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H is listed at Newegg.com for $139.99.
The AMD 890GX will introduce a new platform for the AM3 CPUs of today, featuring a DirectX 10.1 capable video circuit and full SATA 6Gbps support through the SB850 southbridge.
More information is to be expected on the 1th of March, when the platform is officially introduced.
